This is the rescheduled event following the cancellation at the beginning of February. Entries close 1st March – if you had already entered for the original event on the 1st Feb, your entry is still valid and you need not reapply.

  • RACE 1 11.30 WOMEN & MEN OVER 65 6K approx 3 laps
  • RACE 2 12.15 MEN 35/40/45/50/55/60 8K approx 4 laps


  • NEMAA Championship awards to the first 3 individuals in each 5 year age group
    Team awards in ten year age groups for the first 3 teams (3 to count)

    Parking, registration and changing at the school.

    Directions: From A1058 Coast Road eastbound- turn right on to Churchill Street then right at Rosehill Tavern on to B1315 Archer Street. WQ&HBC is 300m on the right. From A1058 westwards turn left on to Churchill Street and follow directions above. From A19 North and from A19 South via Tyne Tunnel turn westwards on to the A1058 sliproad towards Newcastle then take the first left off sliproad on to Churchill Street then follow directions above. The nearest Metro station is Hadrian Road. The bus route is No17.

    This is a championship open to all veterans who are first claim members of a UK affiliated club and qualify for the North East counties by having residence in or have been born within the counties of Northumberland, Durham, Tyne and Wear or Cleveland.

    Entry fee for paid up NEMAA members £4. Non members £7. Make cheques payable to ‘NEMAA’ and send with entry form to Ron Stewart, 5 Mast Lane, Cullercoats, North Shields, NE30 3DF by 1st March 2014.

    Harrier League Relocated to Wrekenton @ Fields behind Cardinal Hume School

    Harrier League Relocated to Wrekenton @ Fields behind Cardinal Hume School | Gateshead | England | United Kingdom
    The sixth and final Harrier league match normally takes place at a challenging course in Prudhoe, but due to parking problems has been relocated to Wrekenton, on the fields just behind Cardinal Hume School. There is ample parking available in the school car-park, with access off Old Durham Road. Parking will also be available in the QE Park and Ride carpark which is just across the road from the school. The fields are accessed via a footpath which is situated on the far side of the stone cottages, to the right of the school (it should be well signposted on the day). There will be an u11 race at this event.

    This is a senior/vet event only, no juniors, sorry.

    The event takes place at the Race Course, Green Lane, Durham with Race HQ being at the Cricket Pavilion. All races are for teams of 3, each runner completing 2 laps of a fast, mainly flat, grass course of approx 1500m.

  • Race 2 7.05pm Vet Men (35+) Vet Women (35+) and Mixed Team

    Harrier League Match 5, Alnwick @ Alnwick

    The fifth Harrier league match of the season takes place at Alnwick, in view of the majestic castle. For parking come off the A1 at the Denwick turn off and turn left at the junction. A little way along is the Alnwick Gardens overflow car park, £2 per car. Please, please don’t park on the grass verge!!! Please car-share where possible to save on parking and money! The course is located on the land over the river from the castle, between the B1340 and the B6341. For further info see Alnwick Harrier info at bottom of page. This is quite a challenging course, with plenty of hills and obstacles such as molehills, mud and tree-roots!

    FROM A1 South.
    Leave the A1 Slip Road at Sign post Denwick / Alnwick / Alnwick Garden. (You will pass Alnwick town on your left on the A1).Turn left at junction onto Denwick Road. Within 500m you will pass Race Pastures entry on your right. Continue down hill over bridge to Alnwick Garden Car Park on your left.

    PARKING. Charges will be £3.50 in main car park or £2.00 in Overflow Car park per day Leave car at park and walk via Denwick Road to Pastures Entry (Approx 500m). Please follow direction signs and marshal’s instructions.

    PLEASE DO NOT PARK ON THE MAIN ROAD OR VERGES OF THE DENWICK ROAD

    REGISTRATION.

    Toilets and Registration are at Race Start (Port-a Loos are available for use near the Start). From A1 at junction onto Denwick Road proceed ahead and head North until Roundabout approx 1 mile, turn left at roundabout and head down over Lion Bridge to Alnwick. Registration is at start. Note Parking is limited in this area.

    Please note that this is 1 mile from the start/finish area. There will be no race parking in the pastures (Except First Aid & Officials). Please only park while you register or change, and then park at Gardens Car Park.

    CLUB TENTS. There is ample space for club tents alongside the start and finish.

    The sixth Harrier league match of the season is being held at Wrekenton, on fields just behind Cardinal Hume School postcode NE9 6RZ.

    The picture below shows the location of the car parks, one at the school and one on the other side of the road (the QE Park & Ride site), and also the location of the tents and start area of the course.wrekenton

    Please ensure you park in the car parks and not on the verges – carshare wherever possible. The path to the course is a short walk from the car parks – it’s shown on the picture above, to the right of the school when viewed from the main road, and here is a streetview image to show you the exact location. entrance to footpath
