After The Lord Mayor’s party???

Sunday was a different day, on a high from previous day, and the club already having done well with the girl’s 1500, with Kate Waugh and Lydia winning their races, and Sophie Burnett massively winning yesterday’s 3000 and coming to watch today. Adrian again had a good lane in lane 6.

This race was amazing Jonnie Curry set off at an amazing pace. He was aware that Michael Wilson was running and had a very good kick, so he set off and took it from the front. Adrian was way back at the bell in 4th place and I was wondering……. anyway at 550 metres Michael Wilson did his inevitable kick and closed 15 metres down and opened a significant lead. At this point Adrian started to work and got into 3rd place, and then with 150 to go he saw the lad in front tiring and he worked and worked his socks off (old fashioned term for working hard) and with just 80m to go, he made up 15metres and waltzed past to comfortably take the silver medal.

Proud dad.
