Slow marathon week

Anybody counting the weeks??? Maybe 9 ?? 12 to go?? (April 13)

I have to say, this week has been poor. Work commitments, and a bit bad luck at home have knocked the stuffing out of me. I have been careful because I did the Brass Monkey 1/2 marathon on Sunday. As a measure of my progress, I was 10 minutes quicker this week than I was in September or October so although there is still room for improvement there has been some already made.

As I said in an earlier entry, after this weekend I will have some idea what I am hoping to do in London. I am meeting with Ian on Friday to maybe make a plan, well a training schedule, the race day plan will come later.

Probably start booking my train and accommodation this weekend.

I had been planning a vigorous schedule this week and next as I had been told I was going away for a training course with work. The cancellation of said courses mean I will be home. The advantage of that will be that at least I will be running round familiar roads, and I will be off work Wednesday so should get a long run in through the day in daylight.

So, to be honest this week I have probably run about 10miles, I am resting tonight (Monday) but will be back on the road by tomorrow pounding the streets building up the miles. That is the one obvious thing this week, I need more miles!!!!!

Sorry to anyone following this, I have had a bad week, but hope to have something more interesting to tell next week!
