Memorial run for Harry Ramage Sunday 11th September 2011

On the 19th of July, whilst out running, my Father in Law Harry Ramage unexpectedly died from an undiagnosed heart problem. This came as a great shock to the family and Harry’s friends as Harry was always known as a fit and active man, even at the age of 69. A fitting tribute to honor and remember Harry is to come along a share in one of his many passions, running (and if you can’t manage a run a cheeky social pint back at the pub). Harry’s memorial run will take place on Sunday 11th September 2011 at Shepherd and Shepherdess Pub in Beamish, Stanley County Durham DH9 0RS. Runners should meet in car park at 930 for a 945 start!! There will be a number of people doing easy and short distance runs and some running for an hour – covering routes around Beamish, Harry’s last run. The run will be followed by a buffet in the Shepherd and Shepherdess. We are still collecting for the charity Help for Heroes. Harry served in the Durham Light Infantry for 16 years. This was something he was very proud of and money collected at his funeral and on the day will be handed over to HFH. For those who can’t attend and would still like to make a donation, a just giving website has been set up for donations at www.Justgiving.com/Tracy-Millmore Runners and non runners are very welcome to support this event. We hope you can come and support our event in memory of Harry. Thanks, Lee Millmore
