BIRTLEY ATHLETE GAINS ENGLAND VEST

Lydia Turner rounds off a great season by finishing in 5th place in the English Schools National Cross Country Championships in Derby at the weekend. The in form athlete who last week narrowly missed out on a bronze medal at the inter counties in Birmingham gained selection to the England team and will compete this weekend in Wales. Well done Lydia your success is well deserved.

Update:- full report and results of the International match can be seen here – Lydia finished a very credible 3rd place. She is shown below with her coach Tommy Millmore and the rest of the England squad – oh, and her bronze medal!
