Teamwork produces a quality result

Birtley members got together recently for another fund raising event to help swell our development fund coffers. Members give up their Saturday to man the tills at Sainsbury’s store on the Team Valley and pack customers bags in return for donations to the fund. As well as collecting money this is an ideal way to promote our club throughout the community and the staff and customers at Sainsbury’s certainly responded in a positive manner. At the end of the day we had managed to collect a magnificent total of £1022.00 (one thousand and twenty two pounds). Thanks must go to the main organisers, Josh McEnaney and Lee Millmore and Keith Weavers who kindly donated the buckets for the event. The “team on the day were: Sean Ridley, Alex Flowers, Kersha Russell, Lesley Russell, Grace Turner, Tommy Millmore, Lee Millmore, Caitlin Millmore, Josh McEnaney, Ed Lown, Margaret Hopkinson, Sarah Murray, Andrew Murray, Barry Murray, Katy Wilson, Jessica Wilson, Susan Wilson, Jessica Morgan, Lewis Morgan, Adrian Bailes, Linda Bailes and Sophie Taylor. Once again, a big thank you to all the staff and customers at Sainsbury’s who helped make the day a huge success.
